Empowering Artisans: MP Tourism Board’s E-commerce Initiative Opens Global Markets
Madhya Pradesh Craftsmen Get E-commerce Training, Paving Way for Global Reach
Bhopal: In a significant move to empower local artisans and promote indigenous crafts, the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board (MPTB) has launched a free training initiative to help artisans enter the global e-commerce market. The training session, conducted in collaboration with online e-commerce company Delberto, was held during the Lokrang Festival at Ravindra Bhavan.
The initiative aims to provide artisans with the necessary skills to register, market, and sell their handcrafted souvenirs on digital platforms, thereby expanding their reach beyond local markets. Trainers from Delberto, Mr. Prateek and Ms. Pragya, led the session, educating artisans on crucial aspects of online selling, including product registration, branding, and marketing strategies.
Highlighting the significance of this initiative, Ms. Bidisha Mukherjee, Additional Managing Director of the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, stated, "This training will open new doors for our artisans, enabling them to showcase their craftsmanship to a global audience.
