Bengaluru, February 10: In a landmark development for Karnataka’s industrial landscape, the Baldota Group has announced its plans to set up a state-of-the-art integrated steel plant in Koppal. With an investment of ₹54,000 crore, this ambitious project is set to transform the region’s economy and create 15,000 employment opportunities for locals.

The Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) for the project will be officially signed at the Global Investors’ Meet on February 11, in the esteemed presence of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. The announcement was made by Rahul Kumar N Baldota, Joint Managing Director of Baldota Group, who emphasized the transformative potential of this initiative.

“Our vision is to make Baldota a leading steel manufacturer in the country. This project will not only enhance Karnataka’s position in the steel industry but also contribute significantly to employment generation and economic growth,” said Rahul Kumar Baldota.

The plant, to be established under the name Baldota Steel and Power Limited (BSPL), will have a production capacity of 10.50 million tons per annum (MTPA), marking a major boost for steel manufacturing in the region.
